Essential Foods to Eat Before Singing

Classical music in strict terms is music that was written and composed during a very specific time period. This time period is 1750 to 1820. What is it that sets this particular period apart from the Baroque period which comes right before or the Romantic which is the period right after? These are not just random dates that some forgotten historian chose, but rather refer to the actual way that the music was composed.

Modern Classical Music

Over a meal, I had a friend wax philosophic about this new band "Cut Copy". He said it was this great French band that sounded a lot like Joy Division. Once I got home, I noodled around on Google and saw a video of them performing on the Jimmy Fallon show. These guys were performing some amazing music, but there was this guy wearing a gorilla outfit. I'm not sure what that was about, but he was going nuts on the tom toms. I think it distracted a bit from the song, but it definitely got my attention, so I decided to do some more digging.

Why Folk Music Makes the Best Live Act

I really wanted to get back to playing music. The problem has been to find a musical instrument that I not only am able to play, but also that I enjoy playing. It's not that I don't enjoy playing a lot of different instruments. It is that I have some physical and probably mental reservations about trying to play different instruments.

The Longstanding Appeal of Superheroes

Reading scripts can be a great way for aspiring writers to get a good sense of story and character. Providing analyses of other writer's scripts can help and reader know what studios and production companies are looking for in scripts, which can only serve to strengthen their own projects. To earn extra money on the side of assistant duties, I frequently dove into script reading for various production companies and agencies.

Since the 1930s and the 1940s, superheroes have provided comic book aficionados with a prototype of the all-American hero, who, via superhuman powers, protects the public from all danger and harm. These same comic book readers are all grown up today, when events occurring around the world make all of us wish for real-life superheroes to come along and save the day, making everything safe again for all those that live here. One of the most popular reasons the appeal of superheroes remains a constant in our society is simply because everyone can identify with them.

Indie Art and Music Headphones

The renowned late 1960's group The Doors, who influenced so many people with its messages of open-mindedness, political consciousness, and peace, was organized in Los Angeles. It for that reason came to be closely connected to the West Coast rock landscape of the time. On a Doors vinyl record, an individual only takes in the sound of a highly unified outfit that could easily have known each other for a long time. Little does the general listener guess, though, that these men were from different regions of the United States and had dissimilar backgrounds.

Oh Dave! Letterman Mocks East Coast Earthquake

LOL! Guess you can't help but laugh.
Thankfully, there haven't been reports that anybody was severely hurt in Tuesday's east coast earthquake. It just had people a little shaken!
…Which is why David Letterman decided to mock the earthquake during his popular Top 10 List segment on the Late Show.
We think he could have done a [...]

And what's more, he is refusing calls from the House Speaker, public and private, who is insisting that he resigned from his position.

Earlier this month, Indiana Rep. Phil Hinkle was caught offering a teenage boy $80 for sex after responding to a Craigslist ad online. Since then, Rep. Hinkle has been repeatedly asked to step down from his position. He is already being removed from several of his committees and chair positions and as he has offered no explanation or apology for his actions, his constituents want him gone.

However, it seems Finkle refuses to leave his post, insisting that he, not this young boy, was a victim of a crime, though of what crime we're not too sure. He is refusing to speak to House Speaker Brian Bosma, but he did offer his first public statement on the scandal, saying:

"I was on the road to self-destruction, and I don't know why....I say that emphatically. I'm not gay...I went to the edge, but I didn't fall over the edge."

That ... is all crap and you know it!

This is not something that is just going to blow over, sir. You've REALLY stepped in it and you have very little options left open to you. We suggest accepting that not only is your political career over, but that you are in fact a man who has never really delved into his real feelings. Resign from office and go get to know yourself. Maybe you'll learn a little something about tolerance and self-acceptance along the way.

Is Oprah Losing Faith?? Tells Fans The World Is A Mess

Playing Guitar Is Fun AND Teaches Discipline

Forcing children to learn to play guitar may not be helpful to them during their formative stage of development. Instilling it to them can be done discretely by incorporating music in toys, and other things that will expose the kids early to rhythm, notes, and sounds. Arousing their senses with guitar sounds and videos can slowly be absorbed by the child, or even by leaving a small guitar in a room.

Gilbert Gottfried Makes Fun Of The East Coast Earthquake

Gilbert Gottfried's reputation for tasteless joking has almost become larger than the one for his voice.

Good. It's no ones business what she is going through right now. So long as she has people around her who support and love her and are helping her grieve, that's all we care about.

The New York Post ran a story this morning claiming that Bravo had plans to run a special one-hour sit down interview with Taylor Armstrong about he suicide of her husband, Russell. The story was Andy Cohen and his crew were "discussing options for a week, but no programming has been formalized," and that Taylor was "still devastated" and didn't participate in the talks herself. While the latter might be true, a spokesperson for Bravo is denying any plans to run a special with Armstrong.

Shortly after the story was run, the rep released a statement, saying:

"It’s not true, there are no plans like that."

We're glad to hear it. Give the woman some time to grieve and make peace with the situation before you have her relive it in front of America.

And somehow, some way, they managed to spend the last 10 days together, blissfully uninterrupted by the press. How fabulous it must've been for them!

Palace officials have confirmed that Prince William and Duchess Catherine have returned from their honeymoon on the island nation of the Seychelles. Reps for the royal couple reveal that the newlyweds had an amazing experience, "thoroughly enjoyed their time together, and they are grateful to the Seychelles government for their assistance in making the honeymoon such a memorable and special 10 days."

Well, they deserved it and bravo to the Seychelles government for offering them every precaution to protect their privacy. That couldn't have been an easy task, but we're sure William and Kate appreciated their efforts sincerely!

Frank Sinatra The Icon Lives On In Vinyl

One of my favorite free music editing software applications is Audacity. It is one of the easiest applications to run and can be installed on Windows, Mac's and Linux. When I was first introduced to Audacity I didn't think too much about the program. It did have the normal multi-tracks most music editing software programs had, but I didn't realize just how many features it included until I really started to play around with the package.

Arts and Entertainment:Music from EzineArticles.com

A bass guitar is primarily a four stringed instrument that produces sound, usually through amplification, by either being picked, slapped, or most commonly plucked. When people think of a bass guitar most often the image they get in their mind is a longer four stringed version of a guitar. However, that is an all to common fallacy, in fact there is a large number of types of basses out there each with their own unique feature.

Last week we got to see a new full length trailer for the upcoming 4th season of True Blood and today we get to check out a newer trailer that features some of the new characters that will be featured on the show. In addition to the vampires, shape-shifters, werewolves and faeries on the show this new season of True Blood will also feature a coven of witches! Apparently, in the world of True Blood, witches can control the dead … which would mean big trouble for the vamps in town. Click below to check out this new trailer.

I mean, of course they had to throw witches into the mix … in the supernatural world of True Blood, they were sorely lacking the witch element. It really looks like this new season of the show is going to try and outdo all the previous seasons … and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
